The Dream Simulator

Dreamrave simulates the four stages of sleep—SELF, ASCENSION, SUBMERSION, and VOID—through a nonlinear narrative of ego-death and digital transcendence. The installation invites participants into a dreamscape where personal consciousness dissolves and is reborn through shared simulation.

The work spans a 350 sq ft physical infinity tunnel built from acrylic mirrors, a floor-to-ceiling LED wall, and a live feedback-looping camera. Simultaneously, the Dreamrave.Space web experience allowed remote users to manipulate visuals inside the space. Shot on 16mm film with a custom score by Danny L. Harle (PC Music), the visuals were algorithmically altered with real-time inputs from physical and digital audiences.

Each experience was unique—a living, breathing dream where digital avatars and real bodies merged. The installation and short film interrogated identity, presence, and ego-dissolution within networked space. A speculative ritual for the always-on age.
